“Hey look, SBVFD is hiring!”

Are you a TCFP-Certified Firefighter? We need you!

As part of our new contract with Llano County Emergency Services District #5, the Sunrise Beach VFD is transitioning to a hybrid department, utilizing both volunteers and paid staff. Our immediate goal is to have two paid firefighters on duty 12 hours per day, seven days a week. Of course the actual numbers will depend entirely on the qualitied firefighters we can get on the team. If you are interested, please fill out and submit the form below, or email us at [email protected].

Additional Information

We are asking applicants to obtain permission from their current employers to use their PPE (Boots, Pants, Coat, Hood, Gloves, and Helmet) during time on shift at SBVFD. We will be responsible for any damage incurred to PPE. As a matter of information, this department has had only three structure fires in the last 13 years within the city limits of Sunrise Beach. The preponderance of calls to which you would respond are medical (approximately 80%). As a condition of employment, SBVFD will conduct a criminal background investigation and driver’s license check.
